The Continuation of Streamlining My Office

My new dual display setup has been a "virtual" blessing.

After purchasing my laptop, I thought the screen would be just fine for all of my work and it is...almost. I finally deceided that I wanted a larger, easy to read screen, so I purchased a new flat screen 19" monitor. When it arrived, my engineer son and daughter-in-law happened to be visiting and they suggested dual screens. And the rest is history.

I now have two screens on my desk, my laptop and my new 19" flat screen. It is a dream. I can move my mouse from one monitor to the other, load my email program on one screen and my Internet browser on another. It's like having an inbox for reference and a working desktop. It saves hours clicking from window to window, especially when copying from one program to another, referencing names or numbers.

You can see how we set it up at my web site at www.yourvirtualresource.com Find the article "Dual Displays" in the left column. It can be tricky, but once we got it set up, I found that I can easily unplug the large monitor, and pack up the laptop and go. When I return, I just plug it back in.
