Moving from the "boat anchor" office set up to a streamlined, "pick it up and go" situation has been a major goal for the past year. I can now literally pick up my office and put it in my car and go where ever I want whenever I want -- with a few inconveniences.
1. I traded my three year old monitor and tower for a sleek little Dell laptop with a wireless connection
2. I purchased file carry totes for my client's files
3. I purchased an easy to move laserjet - a smaller, portable is the next item to be acquired.
4. I purchased a Dell PDA to replace my Rolladex
Now all I have to do is load up the computer, printer, PDA, camera and files and I can go spend a month or two where ever I might like. I even have a converter to plug my laptop into the car so I can work while my husband does his favorite thing - drive.
If I happen to need a scanner or color printer, it's easy to drop by a local Kinkos or Internet Cafe.
The only inconvenience is the lack of Cable connection or high speed Internet, but that is getting much better.

Who me? Out of the Office? Never!
My favorite new quote is
"Virtual Assistant = No Boundaries"
